Embodiment is an evolving body of work. In layers, its legibility is complicated, potentially completely inaccessible. Hand embroidered, laser cut/etched, and machine drawn patterns repeat to their own unraveling. Using the flower of life and square tessellation as placeholders to my own encoding that is embedded but not yet accessed, these pieces depict the parts of my identity that feel so unknown. I am without language to download and comprehend. Not only have I been intentionally concealing in a physical manner, these works actively make the ideas within inaccessible to viewers.
